Dear Praying Friends,
We have recently had an outbreak of spinal-meningitis in South Africa; some say it has reached a pandemic level. We had one young 17 year old boy in the church who contracted it. The doctor said his infection was the worse they had seen in some while. His name is Abdul and he is an orphan. His brother (teaches our adult Sunday School class) and family have taken him in; we are praying for his full recovery in this matter.
Our daughter-in-law, Regina (Timothy's wife) has had laparoscopy surgery. We praise the Lord that no cysts were found. Continue to pray for her as the doctors try to find the problem. Too, their little son, Joseph, is having surgery in January to began the corrective measures to separate his fingers that are webbed together. This is a very touching thing for us, since Timothy had so many of these operations on his hands.
The end of March Jonathan and Jennifer will be presenting us with our seventh (7th) grandchild. Be praying for them during these uncoming weeks.
We continue with the open air meetings and tract distribution - we are not having much of a response. We are now using Dr. James Stewart's tract 'The Unavoidable Christ' among others. I have spoken with two women recently that told me they were suffering with Aids. I had prayer with both of them but can only leave them to the Lord.
Theresa has not been so well in recent days with some pain in her hip which affects her walking. She has seen a chiropractor, and is now going for therapy which is giving temporary relief. We are needing to have some tests run to see what is continuing to cause the problem.
We want to thank all of you who faithfully pray for us and support us. May God Bless You.
Sincerely,
Bro Joel and Theresa
