Dear Pastors and Churches,
Since we arrived home in December everything has moved very swiftly. We left the church with Bro Kevin Young, a young preacher we have known for a number of years. He has spoken to us in the church on various occasions and does a very good job.
We are currently staying at Peachtree Baptist Church in Senoia, GA where Bro. David Dickerson is the Pastor. The people here, except for a few, are strangers to us and we to them; they have taken us in as if we were one of them. They have showed us the kindness of God and it has been a joy to get to know them.
Again, we want to express our sincere and whole hearted hearted appreciation to all who have helped us prayerfully and financially over the past few months. We flew first class on our trip home and this was a great comfort. Many of you made big sacrifices for us and we are very, very grateful.
I have had four stays in the hospital since our arrival. Needless to say I have not had time to do much else, hence, a belated prayer letter. Thank you for your patience.
One thing I know and am assured of is that God is NOT done with me. I was at the hospital yesterday, March 1, and had a very good report. They were not able to do the chemo treatment due to a slightly low white blood count and low platelets count. The Doctors were not concerned with this but said overall I was doing well. My CEA tumor marker test has gone from 150 down to 20 (normal is 3); this is the good hand of God!!!! Also my bili-ruben is down from 16 to 2.8; there were other good tests results that I have not mentioned. My stamina is greatly improved and this is very encouraging.
We must thank you for your sincere prayers and the love shown to us in these critical days. I know I have the best praying friends in the world.
Sincerely,
Joel & Theresa Bain
